As we enter the season of giving, L.R. Green has begun its annual Holiday Food Drive. We are requesting non-perishable store bought food items to support families in our L.R. Green community for distribution prior to winter break.

The LR Green Educational Foundation is holding its November restaurant night fundraiser on the 15th of November, at Red Robin located at 200 Via Rancho Parkway, Escondido from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The foundation will receive a percent of all event sales. Thank you in advance for your support.
Just a reminder, Friday, November 17th is a minimum day - students will be released at 12:20 pm. We hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving Recess from November 20th to November 24th.

Just a reminder, L.R. Green's 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat/Movie event is set for Thursday, October 26th beginning at 5:00 pm. Presale tickets will be sold before and after school for $1 or you can purchase for $2 at the door. We look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday for this safe Halloween event.

The workshop is in collaboration with Bear Valley Middle School and will be held on Friday, September 29th at 8:30 am in the Bear Valley library. We hope you all take advantage of hearing this important information.
Tomorrow, 9/21/23, the L.R. Green Educational Foundation will hold its annual BINGO for Books event. We invite all Griffin families to attend in our MPR. BINGO cards will be sold in packs of five for $2.00 with the first game beginning at 5:20pm. Food trucks selling tacos, pizza and Kona Ice will be available. We hope to see you all on Thursday night.

Also, tomorrow, August 29th, in our back parking lot, the City of Escondido along with other community partners will conduct a "We Love Escondido" event. REMINDER: Thursday, May 18th, L.R. Green will hold its annual Open House. In addition, our library is holding its second book fair of the year and our Educational Foundation is hosting its annual art show. The evening is scheduled from 5:30 - 7:00pm; however, classrooms will only be open from 5:30 to 6:30. We hope to see everyone on this exciting evening.
As a reminder, tonight will be our final 4th & 5th grade band concert, as well as 3rd grade recorders. Band and recorder parents are invited to our open air amphitheater at 5:00pm. Although some chairs will be available, parents and guests are also invited to bring extra chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the performance. This year, students of our Allegro Strings program will also be performing. We hope to see you all for a night of elementary music.
Yesterday, our Girls on the Run team represented LR Green at a 5k run at De Anza Cove. Runners, coaches, family members and friends, all joined together to celebrate empowerment and kindness. We thank our coaches, Mr. Woodworth, Ms. Zinn and Ms. Albach, for their time and dedication to our LR Green team. This was such a wonderful event to watch our Griffins' SOAR.

The LR Green Educational Foundation is holding a fundraising restaurant night on the 20th of April at Jersey Mike's located at 1829 South Centre City Parkway, Escondido from 3:00 to 9:00pm. Participants will receive a free regular sub when they donate a minimum of $4 to the LR Green Educational Foundation. Thank you in advance for your support.
